Baby, it's cold outside!

It's December, and we're under a Blizzard Warning.  All day, it was supposed to snow.  It rained.  And rained.  Now, as it grows later int eh day, it's getting colder and all that rain is going to freeze into ice.  The snow is supposedly on the way.  We'll see if and when it arrives.
Since it's supposed to be miserable outside, this is the perfect time to stay indoors and read a good book or two.  I still have a couple from the library that I need to finish.  (See currently reading list on sidebar for the titles.)  I didn't have time to check out any new books at the library before I had to work, but I have plenty at home.  My Reader is packed full and there are piles of books stacked on my shelves.  (Perhaps I'll get to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.)
I may end up knitting while listening to audiobooks.  (See current projects on sidebar.)  I need to print out the patterns and catch up on both 24 Days Till Christmas projects from groups on Ravelry.
Speaking of Ravelry, topperarnold has started a group called Crafting Poetry.  You read a poem and then create a knit or crochet project to go along with it.  Then you post the poem, a picture and a little write up about it on your blog and link it to her blog -- Lazy Knits and Purls.  I'm hoping to catch up with this and read more poetry.  The first month's poets include Robbie Burns and Edgar Allen Poe.  Both are great, but I'd much rather read Poe.  I'll save Robbie for the Burns' Night Dinner. (Apparently I forgot Lord Byron, for January.  I like his poetry too, but Poe is calling.)

I always say this, but I'm REALLY going to try to keep up with this blog.  (I'm going to have to learn how to post pictures and add buttons and all the fun bells and whistles that other people have.)

Until next time, don't stab anyone with your knitting needles--unless they really deserve it.
